Third the UV-C light reduces harmful airborne pathogens like germs, bacteria, mold and viruses.  The fourth the photocatalyst filter on the Envion Therapure TPP640S Air Purifier captures unwanted VOC's such as odors, fumes, cigarette smoke and other smells. Fifth the powerful ion booster releases negative ions into the air to attach to, and help reduce any other hard-to-see particulates that may be in your space and then releases fresh, cleaner air to be recirculated.

Recommendations / Tips

• Always operate at least 1 foot from any wall or obstruction for effective air flow
• Do not run unit in areas of high grease or oils such as kitchens as it is not effective in these environments
• Keep away from sources of open flame such as candles and fireplaces
• Not ideal for areas of high humidity such as bathrooms
• Keep away from fans, curtains and other areas where air flow can be interrupted
• Place closest to source of pollution for more effective results

FILTER MAINTENANCE

• Clean filter light will turn on indicating it is time to clean your filters
• Envion recommends cleaning your hepa-tyle filter once every 4 weeks or more frequent if needed
• Clean outside grills and inlets with a vacuum or soft, lightly damp cloth
• Use soft brush vacuum attachment along the hepa-type filter to get as much pollution/particulates out as possible
• Never use water or household cleaners on your hepa-type filter
• Clean pre-filter by submerging in mild soapy, warm water. Carefully lift the filter in and out of the water until it is clean
  
• Allow pre-filter to dry completely before reinserting into unit
  
• UV-C light recommended to be replaced every 12 months of constant operation
